A QuicK Introduction

Hi, I’m Kristina Flores, and I’m honored to serve as the new Children’s Ministry Manager here at Mission Adelante.
It’s been such a blessing to step into this role and work alongside people whom I truly believe God has intentionally placed together. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity, not just to lead, but to learn, to grow, and to walk with others in faith. I love what I do, and it brings me so much joy to watch each child grow, not just in their knowledge, but in their relationship with God. Getting to know them, building trust, and creating a space where they feel loved and safe is so delightful. I feel deeply surrounded by love and grace. I’m excited for what God has in store, and I’m praying that He continues to use me as a vessel to bless others. I love that we don’t have to walk this journey alone. We get to grow together, encourage each other, and reflect Christ’s love in the everyday moments.
A little about myself, my journey with Jesus began when I was 12, at a camp where I first accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. It hasn’t always been easy, life never is, but looking back, I can clearly see His hand on my life through every season. He’s never let me go. Right now, my favorite song is Building On by Sondae. One line that really sticks with me is: “On my knees I’m still taller than my enemies.” That lyric reminds me that even in my weakest moments, prayer gives me strength.
What I love most about Mission Adelante is the warmth and genuine love that lives here. It’s a place where people feel safe and loved. I can’t believe I get to contribute to that, to help create an atmosphere where others get just a glimpse of Jesus’ love.
One verse that’s really encouraged me lately is Philippians 1:6: “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” It reminds me that the work God is doing in me, and in everyone around me, is intentional. Even in uncertain seasons, He is still moving. I’m just grateful to be part of His plan, and I pray I can be a blessing to everyone I meet.
