Serve and be transformed with our community!
We believe that effective ministry is relational at its core. When relationships are interdependent, learning is mutual, serving is reciprocal, and friendship is life-giving.
Our kids ministries include dynamic outreach programs for neighborhood kids on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and a more in-depth after-school mentoring program called "Leaders-In-Training" (LIT) that meets Monday and Wednesday afternoons during the school year. Volunteers in our kids ministries serve weekly over 12-week trimesters.
Our Adult English Learners program is highly relational and emphasizes verbal practice. As a volunteer conversation partner, you make a big impact just by speaking English and building a friendship. And, you don't need to speak another language! Volunteers serve weekly on Tuesday or Thursday evenings over 12-week trimesters.
Our Latino and Refugee youth ministries include fun, relational Teens Club gatherings that meet on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and intentional discipling for youth who are longing to build friendships and grow in their faith. Volunteer mentors disciple and serve alongside teen leaders from our community.
Collaborative partnerships among the various entities in a neighborhood form the vital fabric of a flourishing community. Undergirding our community development efforts are partnerships with neighbors, businesses, our local government, schools, and nonprofits.

"Canasta Básica" means "basic basket" in Spanish. Your family or church group can assemble basic baskets of staple food items for families in need. Then, bring them to Mission Adelante and we'll distribute them through our resource center.
Give kids the right tools to succeed in school! Each year we collect backpacks equipped with all the necessary supplies for kids to begin the school year. You can organize a group of people to assemble backpacks and then drop them off at Mission Adelante.
Keeping a church building looking good is no easy task. We are always in need of handy volunteers to help with repairs and upgrades. You can organize or join a group to knock out a large project or come by yourself to help with smaller jobs.
