Meet the LTP Crew!
by Erick Flores, Ministry Apprentice
Leadership Training Project (LTP) is a meaningful discipleship and leadership development program designed for teens who show strong potential to lead and serve within our community. The program is intentionally selective, focusing on students who demonstrate maturity, initiative, and a heart for ministry. This year, we are excited to have five outstanding participants in the program: Elian, Hudson, Josee, Anjali, and Unisha. Each of them has stepped into the year with enthusiasm, ready to be challenged, to grow, and to serve with purpose.
Throughout the year, these young leaders are placed in specific kids’ programs where they have the opportunity to practice leadership hands-on. Whether they are helping guide activities, supporting younger kids, or assisting program leaders, they are continually developing essential skills such as communication, responsibility, and teamwork. Their dedication has already been noticeable, as each participant has embraced their role with a level of commitment that inspires both staff and peers. Watching them take ownership of these responsibilities reinforces the value of investing in young leaders.
Every Wednesday, the group meets together for a delicious meal and a focused training workshop. These evenings are a highlight of the program because they create a space for connection, reflection, and intentional learning. Over a meal, participants build meaningful relationships with one another, fostering a sense of unity and encouragement. During the workshops, they engage in discussions and activities designed to strengthen areas such as spiritual growth, leadership principles, problem-solving, and effective ministry practices. The combination of fellowship and practical training creates a balanced environment for personal and spiritual development.
Perhaps the most rewarding aspect of the Leadership Training Project is witnessing the growth that becomes visible week after week. As the participants apply what they learn to their ministry roles, the entire environment is uplifted. Younger children look up to them, program leaders appreciate their support, and the community benefits from their growing confidence and compassion. The transformation we see in these students, both individually and spiritually, reminds us why this program matters. LTP continues to be a source of joy, hope, and inspiration as these young leaders step boldly into the calling placed before them!
