Kids Ministries
Children in our community are brimming with joy and potential, even as they navigate the challenges inherent in growing up in under-resourced neighborhoods. Their dual-culture reality will one day be one of their greatest strengths, but as kids it presents some confusing challenges. We love to create a safe environment for kids to belong and dream big dreams as they embrace their cultural identity, develop their gifts, and grow in a relationship with Christ.
Youth Ministries
Youth in our neighborhood are overcoming big challenges to follow Jesus and become leaders in our community. As they do so they are impacting the present and future of Mission Adelante and our city. We love to engage deeply in their lives, walk with them as they become disciples, and help them discover and develop the gifts and passions God has placed within them. Our youth ministries bring together youth from a variety of cultural backgrounds to grow together.
Adult Ministries
Mission Adelante’s adult ministries are striving to build community and serve immigrants and refugees in practical ways. We love to walk with people as they learn English, navigate the systems in our country, and prepare to become United States citizens. Our adult programs emphasize teaching English and helping eligible individuals prepare for the USCIS citizenship exam and interview. What a joy to serve, share life, and share Jesus with people from all places!
REFUGEE SERVICES
Today over 110 million people have been forcibly displaced from their homes, and that number grows by the day. We are excited to partner as an affiliate of World Relief to offer a warm welcome to refugee families arriving in KCK.
Adelante Thrift
Adelante Thrift is an amazing neighborhood thrift store and a sustainable community development project. Our store provides a great shopping experience for our community, creates jobs, and generates proceeds that support the ministry of Mission Adelante. Come shop, volunteer, or donate!
church Community
At the core of Mission Adelante is a Spanish-speaking church community that meets on Sunday evenings for worship services and during the week for community groups. Embracing the greatest commandments, the emphasis of our church community is “loving people from all places”

Overlooked
Who are immigrants and what is their impact on our community? We partnered with Oliver Hughes to create this mini-documentary that explores the ways immigrants are transforming and revitalizing our Kansas City, Kansas neighborhood. Overlooked is a powerful piece of art that has won several awards at film festivals. We’re proud to share with the world what we have come to know; that immigrants are a blessing!
