Adult English Learners

Learning a language is not easy, but it is an important endeavor for many immigrants as they pursue employment and integrate into a new culture and community.  We love to walk with people from other places in the vulnerable, challenging, and relational process of learning English.

Latino ESL Classes

Our adult English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) program has multiple levels, is highly relational, and emphasizes verbal practice.  As a volunteer conversation partner, you learn a lot and make a huge impact just by speaking English and building a friendship.  There is no specific expertise or preparation required.  And, you don't need to speak another language!  Volunteers serve weekly on Thursday nights over a 12-week trimester.

English Club

In addition to our ESL classes, our English Club provides a fun, informal context for immigrants and refugees from different parts of the world to practice their English and build relationships with Americans and each other.  English Club meets on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30 and is open to people from all places!

Citizenship class

Our Citizenship Class prepares immigrants and refugees for the USCIS Citizenship Test and Interview. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of the content through the use of instruction, group activities, and relational teaching. The class meets weekly on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30 over a 12-week trimester.
